Mark Your Calendar for What May Occur After September 13/14, 2015

We are currently in the Shemitah (sabbatical) year that ends at sunset on September 13, which is a mere 36 days from now.  Is there an economic/financial consequence to not observing a sabbatical year?

First, what is a “Shemitah Year?” The Shemitah (sabbatical) is the seventh year of the seven-year agricultural cycle. During Shemitah, the land is left unused, including plowing, planting, pruning and harvesting. Other cultivation techniques (such as watering, fertilizing, weeding, spraying, trimming and, mowing) may be performed as a preventative measure only, not to improve the growth of trees or other plants. Additionally, any fruits that grow of their own accord are deemed ownerless and may be picked by anyone. All debts, except those of foreigners, were to be forgiven.

Second, every seventh year, the Shemitah, on the 29th day of the Hebrew month of Elul, occurs.  Elul is the twelfth month of the Jewish civil year, or the sixth month of the ecclesiastical year in the Jewish calendar, August and September.  The current Shemitah year ends on September 13, 2015.  Also, on that date, we have Yom Teruah (Feast of the Trumpets) and ten days later we have Yom Kaphar.  (I will let you do the research on those two Hebrew festivals and their significance along with the meaning of Shemitah.)  By the way, I don’t consider it a coincidence that the greatest stock market “point crash” occurred on the 29th day of the month of Elul (September 2008).  And, let us not forget the stock crash caused by the events of “9/11.”

When did that stock market crash occur?  On the 29th day of the month of Elul, which was the exact day of the ending of the Shemitah year.

In conjunction with ending of the Shemitah year on September 13, 2015, we have an unusual astronomical phenomenon; a blood, red moon is expected on the evening of Elul 29, 2015 (September 13).  A blood, red moon is usually associated with “pending world chaos.”  Well, we already have a whole lot of chaos throughout the world. How much worse can it possible get? Maybe a whole lot worse.  If it appears to be scary now, just wait until it comes knocking at your door, especially if you don’t have the knowledge you are currently receiving by reading this blog.

Will we have another stock market crash following the ending of the current Shemitah year on September 13, 2015? The end of Shemitah occurs at sunset on September 13, which is a Sunday. However, a Jewish day goes from sunset to sunset. Therefore, Monday, September 14, would be part of September 13; and on that Monday, the stock markets will be open.

Of course, when it comes to the stock market, I rely on my exponential moving average strategy (EMA).  That states, when the 15-week EMA > 40-week EMA, the market trend is “up.” Investment strategy is to invest in stocks. When the 15-week EMA < 40-week EMA, the market trend is “down.” The appropriate investment strategy would be to sell stocks and move to cash.  Currently, the EMA strategy continues to indicate a rising market trend. However, the spread between the 15-week EMA and 40-week EMA is closing rapidly. So, with 36 days remaining until the end of the Shemitah year, the EMA strategy could very easily turn negative (15-week EMA < 40-week EMA).  (I will update the weekly EMA strategy over the weekend. And continue to update it every Friday through the end of the current Shemitah year.)

End of the Shemitah Year is Upon Us

The following post was written on August 8, 2015. Since we are now "one week away" from the end of the Shemitah Year, I thought it would be relevant to post it again. (My intention here is the reinforcement of learning through redundancy.)

On August 21, the "Bearish Death Cross" was confirmed by the $INDU's 15-week EMA crossing below its 40-week EMA. So, as we enter the end of the Shemitah Year, the "Bear" has already spoken. Is more coming from this "Bear?" We may find the answer to that question very shortly!

Mark This Date for Potential Economic/Financial Disaster

Forget about the end of the world based on the Mayan calendar (December 21, 2012); instead focus on the pending Shemitah on the sunset of September 13, 2015.
Those of you that have been following my blog postings over the past several years know that I consider the next four years (2013 to 2016) to be extremely unsettling for your financial health.  The reason, of course, is that a 7.5-year stock market cycle is pointing to a devastating "Bear Market” starting in the fourth quarter of 2012 through 2016.  Downside price objective for this 7.5-year cycles is "1,000" on the DJIA ($INDU), which is the objective based on a massive "Head and Shoulder Top" formation from 1998.
Now, back to the Shemitah, every 7th year, the Shemitah, on the 29th day of the Hebrew month of Elul, occurs.  Elul is the twelfth month of the Jewish civil year, or the sixth month of the ecclesiastical year in the Jewish calendar, August and September.  The next Shemitah occurs September 13, 2015.  Also, on that date, we have Yom Teruah (Feast of the Trumpets) and ten days later we have Yom Kaphar.  (I will let you do the research on these two significant Hebrew festivals and what they mean.)  By the way, I don’t consider it a coincidence that the greatest stock market “point crash” occurred on the 29th day of the month of Elul (September 2008).  And, let us not forget the stock crash caused by the events of “9/11.”  When did that stock market crash occur?  On the 29th day of the month of Elul, which was the exact day of the Shemitah.
In conjunction with the Shemitah on September 13, 2015, we have an unusual astronomical phenomenon; a blood, red moon is expected on the evening of Elul 29, 2015 (September 13).  From Scriptures, you may want to read Joel 2:30-31, Acts: 2:20, and Revelation 6:12 to discern the significance of the “blood, red moon.”  While doing this research on the aforementioned verses, read Matthew 24.
Once again, you have been forewarned.  However, with all due sadness, I believe that “none of this will matter to anyone until it matters to everyone.”  But, by then, it will be too late.

Stock Market Prognostication

Those of you that have been following my blog for several years know that I consider September 13, 2015 as a potential date for an economic/financial meltdown for global financial markets. (Go back and read my blog from November 19, 2012 entitled, “Mark this Date for Potential Economic/Financial Disaster.”)  September 13, 2015 marks the end of a “Shemitah (Sabbatical) Year”, which occurs every seven years and starts on September 25, 2014.  By the way, the greatest stock market crash, point wise, occurred on September 29, 2008, which was at the end of a Shemitah year.  Also, the stock market crash caused by the events of the infamous “9/11” tragedy occurred on September 29, 2001, which was at the end of a Shemitah year.  By the way, all these market declines occurred at the “end” of a Shemitah year.  Are these dates all coincidental with severe financial market crashes?  I don’t think so!  You may want to do your own research on what is meant by a “Shemitah Year” and its significance.
What is very interesting for the upcoming Shemitah year is that it ends on September 13, 2015, which is the same date of a partial “lunar eclipse” and Yom Teurah.  Why are eclipses significant?  Usually, they portend to significant global events.  I guess a major stock market crash would be considered a significant event.  Also, from a Scriptural perspective, Genesis 1:14 states: “And Alahim (God) said, Let lights come to be in space of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them (moon and sun) be signs and appointed times, and for days and years.”  As a matter of fact, 2015 has three lunar eclipses [April 4 (Passover), September 13 (Yom Teruah, or Rosh Hashana), and September 28 (Sukkot)] and one solar eclipse on March 20.
Will this prognostication of a market collapse occur?  Who knows, but at least we will know by the end of 2015.

Why Wealth Confiscation Will Occur in the United States

Well, it seems that Cyprus has decided to extend its so-called bank holiday until Thursday of this week.  (Banks in Cyprus were suppose to open on Tuesday.)  Who is next in line to confiscate wealth of its citizens? Italy? Spain? United States?

Ok, why will the United States have to confiscate a portion of your wealth?  The answer lies in the simple fact that within two years the government of the United States will only have sufficient tax revenues to fund "Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and Interest on its National Debt," which by the way corresponds to the end of the Shemitah on September 13, 2015.  For example, last year Medicare took in slightly more than $200 billion; however, between Medicare and Medicaid, our government spent slightly more than $1 trillion.  Now, keep-in-mind, our government only took in approximately $2.3 trillion.  That leaves $1.3 trillion for everything else, which, of course, was not enough because our deficit was over $1 trillion.  That deficit of $1 trillion was for all practical purposes monetized (Created money out of thin air to buy the debt, which in itself is illegal. But then again, our government doesn't seem to be too concerned about the rule of law.  Remember GM bondholders.) by the Federal Reserve System.  If the Federal Reserve System stops its policy of monetizing the debt, or is forced to by the market, the only option for the government will be a Cyprian type measure of wealth confiscation.  If the Fed continues to monetized the debt, your wealth (currency) will be completely debased (destroyed) through hyper-inflation, which will be the same as a direct confiscation of your bank and retirement accounts.  Therefore, you just might want to consider a greater allocation of your wealth into precious metals.

U.S. Debt Over Time

The above chart has been extracted from ZeroHedge.  The debt trajectory is truly alarming, especially the Federal Deficit to GDP percentages.  Some additional comments from the above chart are as follows:

  • Government spending is the true problem of America's deficits, which our politicians will not really deal with because of the entitlement mentality of our society.  That is, take from someone else but not from me!
  • This should not a political issue; however, it is. Politicians on both sides of the aisle are perfectly aware that setting the U.S. on a sustainable fiscal course in the long run would mean massive pain for the economy, and an immediate termination of all existing political careers.
  • There is no question that the current debt situation is unsustainable.  U.S. economy is currently growing at a pace of 1.5%-2%, at best.  Total 2012 U.S. debt will have risen approximately 8%, and will continue rising in the 6%-8% range.
  • More disturbing is the influence of the Fed, whose policy of a zero-interest rate policy (ZIRP), which completely distorts the workings of the money and capital markets, and outright debt monetization has been the only permissive factor that has allowed the U.S. to delay the inevitable moment of reckoning (Remember the end of the upcoming Shemitah is September 13, 2015.)
So, what will the government eventually do?  Do whatever it takes to perpetuate its own self-interest, not yours, and take total control over your lives by making you totally dependent on it for everything.  In other words, the government wants to be your “god” (Think Executive Order 6102.).
