Chicago has long been the poster child for the "Gun Control" advocates of America. As a matter of fact that prior to 2010, you could not even have a gun in your house to defend yourself and your family. Now, the Huffington Post, which is definitely not a right-wing news outlet, provides the following statistics: "More than 440 school-age children have been shot in Chicago
in 2012. This is not to say that 440
school-age children died, simply that more than 440 school-age children were at
least wounded. However, the number of school-age children killed is reported at
approximately 60. The bottom line:
It seems that denying the free exercise of the right to keep and bear arms to
law-abiding citizens not only does not curtail the actions of criminals, but
actually emboldens them."
